Amy Mecklenborg, M.S., the Director and Educational Therapist at Individualized Learning, has a combination of 11 years of experience in one-on-one and classroom education as well as public education. �After graduating The Bishop's School, Amy completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from U.C.S.B. and went on to publish her animal behavior and nutrition research in the scientific journal, "Zoo Biology". �Amy began teaching and coaching at The Bishop's School, Hoover High and Correia Middle School. �She then earned her Master's of Interdisciplinary Advanced Studies degree from Scripps Institution of Oceanography in order to learn how to communicate complex scientific concepts to a variety of audiences. �This led to her employment at the CalEPA which involved educating the public, stakeholders and board members on complex scientific subjects in order to adopt new policies. �Following the CalEPA, Amy provided educational therapy to students at a learning center in La Jolla.
