Elite’s educational philosophy is to strengthen our students’ academic skills in reading, writing, and math. We do not teach guessing, shortcuts, and tricks. Our students learn academic concepts and skills that will bolster their performance on the SAT or ACT as well as better prepare them for the rigors of a college curriculum. Elite’s courses are more college prep than simply test prep. Our students take a full-length SAT or ACT for practice every week. They review the practice test in class with a teacher, then receive a lesson in critical reading, writing, and math, followed by a quiz on the previous week’s lessons. Class size is capped at 15 students per teacher. In addition to our SAT and ACT classes, Elite also offers classes to prepare students for the SAT Subject Tests and the high school admissions exams (SSAT, HSPT, Lowell). We offer classes all year-round, with expanded course offerings during the summer and winter breaks. History Established in 1987. Elite Prep began as one branch in a suburb of Los Angeles in 1987.
