When you strip an application down its core, it is simply the art of putting your best foot forward on paper. Through essays, resumes, test scores, grades, skills and experiences, a college admissions counselor tries to get a sense of who you are, and why you are, so they can better understand where you will fit within their institution.I help students find the best versions of themselves and translate that elegantly to paper. With a background both in mathematics and storytelling, I think this process should be analytical and rigorous, but full of excitement and joy. After all, the world lays before you and you have so much to offer it! This is an exciting time. Let’s figure out the best way to do this, together. History Established in 2012. I am a graduate of Dartmouth College, where I double majored in Mathematics and English. I am currently a graduate writing student at University of Southern California, where I am pursuing a master’s in screenwriting. After graduation, I worked at a grueling hedge fund in Connecticut where, after a year of staring at charts, I switched over to run our college recruiting process. This experience gave me unique relationships with many colleges across the country, and an in-depth perspective on the types of students at any given institution. Over the past few years, I have worked as a recruiter in Silicon Valley, where I have seen thousands of resumes and cover letters and have conducted hundreds of interviews. I know what it takes to make a person stand out on paper.
