History Established in 2011. Magellan College Counseling was founded in 2011 by Evelyn Alexander, who interviewed students for Johns Hopkins University for 15 years.Now a team of five independent college advisors, Magellan works with the entire range of students. We can assist top-performers applying to Ivy League schools as well as students who have struggled during high school, and students in-between. We help our clients realize that there is a four-year college out there for every student who wants to attend one!
