Whether there is an upcoming test, a need to learn organizational skills or overcome the challenges of a learning disability, we assist students who struggle with their classes. In addition, we have services for students who want to exceed requirements of their current grade and to prepare for the next grade. Through a diverse and custom-made lesson plan, students will become engaged and passionate about learning. Our tutors are skilled in teaching the fundamentals of language and math and assist in preparing college applications. Having dyslexia herself, it was an easy transition for Claire, the owner, to pursue a career in education. She understands the struggles that come with having learning disabilities. She moved to Dallas, August 2014. Claire began Highland Park Tutoring to serve the many children that struggle in school.
Claire is the founder and lead tutor, she holds a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Comparative Sociology from University of Puget Sound, located in Tacoma, Washington. �She has a Masters in Education in Reading and Writing from Southern Methodist University. She is also finishing additional course work at SMU to become an Associate Educational Therapist and a Certified Academic Language Therapist. She has six years of experience and specializes in individuals with learning disabilities and early literacy. �Having dyslexia herself, she understands the struggles that come with learning disabilities and has the ability to connect with students on a personal level.
