What I strive to do for each student is to make the education process more personal and meaningful. To help young people see that the selection of a path is not a “life sentence”, but an opportunity to gain experience and refine their understanding of their personal interests and passion. I will walk you through each step of the college application, whether it be in-state or out-of-state. Then, we will develop an essay that details the unique strengths you bring to whatever campus you reside on. Or if you need assistance with a specific course, let me support you through any course using a range of strategies and best practices suited to your academic needs. History Established in 2014. I’ve been working with students since 2014, when I began an internship with Child & Family Services in Buffalo, New York. There I learned how to collaborate with a range of service providers including speech therapists, psychologists, nurses, and family members to ensure children were emotionally nurtured and academically challenged. Since then, I have worked in an International School for students from all regions of the world, in one of the highest performing districts in California, and independently with numerous students throughout the Bay Area. I look forward to helping your child find the path that is right for him or her!
My story begins in Marin County, California at the local public high school. I was on the verge of graduating from high school and I did not know what I wanted to do next. I had good grades, was a two-sport varsity athlete, and a record of community service. After making a trip to the east coast to tour Yale University and Boston College, I still did not feel enthusiastic to jump back into four more years of education. I needed something different, but I wasn't sure what. And that is when a trusted teacher told me about City Year. City Year was a year-long opportunity to provide essentials services and assistance to a less privileged school district. This sounded meaningful and engaging, so I jumped at the opportunity.By taking a risk and trying something out of the ordinary, I found my true calling. After completing the 1700 hours of service working at P.S. 309 in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, I enrolled in the City University of New York and graduated summa cum laude.
