Advocacy and advisement to children and parents of children with disabilities (learning, physical, emotional). We represent parents at IEP meetings, 504 plan meetings, mediations, resolution meetings and Due Process hearings. We collaborate with schools, tutors, remediation specialist and therapists to maximize gains. We also offer math/reading remediation, psychoeducational testing, academic testing, educational consultation and behavior plan creation. History Established in 2013. Educational Solutions and Advocacy was established in 2013 by Krista Barth, former Special Education Teacher and MS in Exceptional Student Education. Krista completed eight plus years fulfilling a variety of roles in special education at four school sites in Miami Dade. She became frustrated with the limitations of what she could do as a public school teacher passionate about advocating for students with disabilities. Parents need someone on their side that understands special education law and strives to provide parents with ALL information sources that they should consider when making important decisions for their children. About The Provider:
I have been working with children and adults with disabilities for over a decade. Eight years of which was spent teaching varied disabilities in the public school sector. During that time I earned a Masters in Exceptional Student Education and began the advocacy journey. During my time in the public school system I attended countless IEP/504 Plan Meetings and School Support Team meetings. Since becoming an advocate, I have attending trainings throughout the country on special education law and advocacy. I can also collaborate with private schools and advise parents considering homeschooling.
