Jump Start Tutoring builds strong foundations for academic excellence. History Established in 1998. After preparing for his own SAT by attending costly group sessions with an established name-brand company, Matt found that there were no study assignments or follow-ups and that his personal weaknesses were not being addressed. Realizing that many students, like himself, were becoming lost in the crowd, Matt established an alternative one-on-one method of tutoring that proved effective for motivating students and achieving outstanding exam results. By 1998, in response to growing demand for his tutoring services, Matt created Jump Start Tutoring, Inc., whose mission was to help students of all skill levels achieve their educational goals. His emphases were, and remain, to personalize instruction for each student by determining their strengths and weaknesses, and to help them maximize their learning potential.
