Through working with the brightest teachers the city has to offer, we have built a reputation for providing the very best test prep and homework help tutoring in New York City.As teachers ourselves, we know that great tutoring means not only understanding the material, but the pedagogy and the student as well. Of course, all of our tutors are also graduates from the country’s best universities, each holding a Master’s degree, and like-able individuals with whom we ourselves and our students want to spend time.In the words of Nancy, a Spence mom: “Our tutor was intelligent, responsible, and extremely well-versed in the subject matter…My daughter thoroughly enjoyed working with her tutor…and she scored a perfect 800 on her SAT II!Our expertise is in offering the very best SAT prep, LSAT prep, GRE prep, GMAT prep, AP test prep, ISEE, SSAT SHSAT prep, and homework help in NYC. History Established in 2005. After ten years of classroom teaching, private tutoring, developing curricula, writing about education, and college advising on our own, we founded Central Park Tutors when we realized that there was room for a firm of tutors in NYC that was truly dedicated to the art of teaching. We break down complex ideas into easy to learn lessons, know multiple ways of teaching ideas, stay organized, help our students plan and review their work, never move on unless we know our students have a thorough understanding of their material, and always always remain emotionally supportive while maintaining the highest standards for academic work. That’s how we lesson help students keep calm to achieve their very best, without the rising anxiety so prevalent in our society.
