Our vision at Ducerus is simple: provide families with a dedicated team includes professional college advisors who understand every detail of admissions, analysis and proper planning of a wide-range of financial situations, the complicated financial aid process and test preparation. We’re not just helping families survive the process, we’re ensuring they thrive and achieve extraordinary results. History Established in 2009. Though our roots go back to 1993, Ducerus was conceived in 2009 when 50 college planning offices were interviewed and presented with the idea of pooling their collective areas of expertise to create the first Total College Solution for families.The idea was to create a seamless process to help students transition from high school to college, and then directly into the real world with a career that they enjoy. Further, we wanted to do so in a manner that would allow parents to pay the least amount possible for college so they could afford it for all their kids and still be able to enjoy a comfortable retirement. Ultimately, in a selection and training process that lasted 12 months, 13 individuals were chosen to be founding members, and in January 2011, Ducerus: Your Total College Solution was born.The name Ducerus comes from the Latin word “ducere”, which means to lead.
