Chappaqua Learning Center offers tutoring, test preparation, and help with targeting the colleges and universities that are right for your child. We help not only students but also their parents navigate through the pre-college exam process and exam scheduling. We offer a choice of one-on-one or semi-private tutoring sessions for PSAT, SAT, and ACTs. Additionally, we can help prepare students for AP exams and SAT2s, GRE, GMAT, and LSATs. Chappaqua Learning Center has been privately owned and operated since 1986. Its name changed to Chappaqua Learning Center in 2008 after Judy Suchman, Certified Teacher and Educational Planner, opened CLC’s first office in Pleasantville, NY. Judy actually started her tutoring career as a high-school student, tutoring peers in advanced science courses and English. (She’s a self-proclaimed science and English nerd.) Since Judy opened CLC, the company has grown to more than 30 professional tutors serving families throughout Westchester County and as far away as NYC and New Jersey. In 2010, Judy opened her present location in Chappaqua.All CLC’s tutors are certified teachers, which reflects Judy’s commitment to the delivery of top quality services and continuous improvement.
Judy is a certified teacher with more than thirty-five years of experience in education and educational planning. In 1985, hoping to encourage students to seek careers in the sciences, she attended Pace University to obtain her certification as a science teacher and her masters degree in education. Since that time she has taught biology, AP biology, and chemistry, as a full time teacher and permanent substitute teacher at Fox Lane High School, Horace Greeley High School and The Hackley School. She began tutoring in 1986 and has been helping students to excel in biology, chemistry and the SAT and ACT since that time. �After attending College Board and National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) conferences, and taking numerous continuing education courses, she began to help her students with their college planning, and college applications.
